Mrs. Tidwell is in her tenth year at Wellman-Union. This is her 4th year as elementary principal. She initially taught six years as K-12 special education teacher. Before Wellman and Union consolidated, Mrs. Tidwell taught kindergarten for three years at Union. She earned both Bachelor of Science and Master of Education degrees from Lubbock Christian University. She is married to Billy Tidwell, a cattle rancher.
